10 Andrew with the Visine

Andreas Liu was not well received by fans at first with his seemingly pompous attitude and his sexually explicit conversations. But he somehow managed to attract Nancy Rodriguez‘s attention, and the two got along well. When she decided to choose Bartise Instead, Andrew was reportedly heartbroken. Or was he?

During his on-camera interview segment, the show’s producers decided to air a few crucial seconds before he began speaking. He was seen asking if the cameras were rolling, then dripping Visine into his eyes and grinning. When he presumably thought he was finally being recorded, he launched into a (fake) tearful monologue about how much he cared about Nancy and how devastated he was to lose her. What was most unexpected wasn’t even that this happened at all, but that the show decided to air it. It remains one of the most embarrassing moments on Love is blind.

9 Zanab’s devastating speech to Cole

Zanab Jaffrey And Cole BarnettThe relationship was turbulent from the start in season three. Zanab immediately felt insecure when Cole revealed that Catherine Reedthe other woman he interacted with in the pods was his usual “type” physically. 8th Lydia and Uche have been together before

Love is blind is one of the best reality dating shows on Netflix, but it’s surprising that it took five seasons to get to this point. But it was also puzzling that it was even possible, considering the amount of vetting the cast members have to go through to be on the show. Still, Uche Okoroha And Lydia Arleen did the pod dating rounds with everyone else and immediately realized they knew each other. They kept it a secret for a while so viewers found out before anyone else did.

What made the situation even stranger was that Aaliyah Cosbywho fell in love with Uche, was closest to Lydia out of all the girls. It also seemed like Lydia tried very hard to be there for Aaliyah and spend time with her, even though she already knew that the man she was getting engaged to was her own ex.

7 Aaliyah leaves the show

As mentioned earlier, Aaliyah was part of an unwanted love triangle when the man she fell in love with, Uche, revealed that he had dated Lydia before in real life. After learning this and then being bombarded by Lydia with facts about Uche that she didn’t want to know, Aaliyah made a bold decision.

When Uche arrived at the pod for his date with Aaliyah, he was called when no one answered and was told that Aaliyah had decided to leave the show. He asked to call her and talk to her about the decision and expressed his disappointment. The couple later met in person but nothing came of it. Aaliyah’s complete departure before she had a chance to see if she was still worth continuing was unexpected.

6 Shaina leaves Mexico

Shaina Hurley And Kyle Abrams seemed doomed from the beginning. She announced her love Shayne Jansenbut it was too late and he had already chosen Natalie Lee. Shaina decided to accept Kyle’s proposal, even though he wasn’t her first choice. This was no surprise; it seems to happen to at least one couple every season. When they met, there seemed to be no physical chemistry between them, and their deep religious differences drove a wedge between them.

After deciding to sleep in a different room in Mexico, which was an insult in itself to Kyle, he woke up to find that Shaina, one of the worst candidates, had packed up and gone home. Although no one expected the couple to walk down the aisle, it was unthinkable that Shaina would cut the engagement trip short and abruptly.

5 Matthew – Double Timing

Matthew Duliba was one of the most embarrassing performers on the show so far. He remained silent in the pods, the exact opposite of what one should do. He told the ladies he had a list of questions for them, but when they asked him the same questions, he refused to answer them. AD Smith finally got through to Matthew and he broke down walls. He started to open up and it seemed like they were building a real connection. AD seriously considered choosing him Clay Gravesande. But then the ladies started talking.

AD learned that Matthew not only built a connection with Amber Grant too; he also told her almost word for word the same things he said to AD. Nobody thought Matthew was a player, and he’s been defending himself ever since. Still, he was the last cast member fans would have expected to be underhanded.

4 Shake’s mother gives him a lecture

Rarely are the parents in a show like Love is blind the outstanding ones, but that was exactly the case a few times. The first was probably Shake Chatterjee‘s mother in season 2. Shake confided to his mother that he was not physically Deepti Vempati and was unsure about their physical connection and lack of “animal attraction.”

But instead of giving in to him, Sita told her son directly. “Honestly,” she said, “I identify with her more than you do right now. She could find someone who absolutely loves her for who she is. She’s a wonderful person. She doesn’t deserve anyone who’s going to give her even half a percent less.” It was a wonderful moment for the season’s villain to get a wake-up call, and fans were happy to see it.

3 Natalie says “No” at the altar

Natalie and Shayne seemed pretty solid all season, already bickering like an old married couple. Although there was some drama leading up to the wedding, mostly related to Shaina and her involvement in their relationship, they were otherwise fine. Fans fully expected the couple to get married, even if they also predicted it would probably end in divorce at some point.

But it was Natalie who said no at the altar, which devastated Shayne and made them one of several couples to split at the wedding. It was later revealed that the pair had a rather heated argument the night before, and that solidified Natalie’s decision. She may have considered saying yes before, but she had changed her mind. Also unexpected was how upset Shayne seemed, suggesting he was definitely going to say yes.

2 Sal says “No” at the altar

Sal Perez came across as the sweet romantic in the capsules and captured Mallory Zapata‘s heart many times over. They had some ups and downs as they began their engagement, and little details about Sal came to light that made Mallory question who he really was. In the meantime, the spark between them seemed to fizzle out. But they both seemed to want to work on things and be in it for the long haul.

However, when they got to the altar, Sal surprised everyone by saying no. He did the classy thing and addressed her family directly to apologize for the decision. He later told Mallory that it was because of her constant misunderstandings and her family’s hesitation about the whole thing. Fans expected Mallory to be the one to say no, but she admitted that she might have done it even if he had said yes.

Season 2 was one of the most dramatic seasons, and the focus was Nick Thompson And Danielle Ruhl. The couple seemed to be the perfect case of opposites attracting; he was the quiet homebody and she was the party animal. When they met in person, the physical attraction was there, but they also had many arguments.

Fans expected the couple to either break up or say no at the altar, but they could potentially continue dating to see how things go. But they both said yes and became husband and wife. The couple eventually divorced and Nick has spoken out many times against the experience and the impact he feels the show and all the drama that came afterward has had on his life.
