Chris Brown faces $50 million lawsuit after alleged backstage brawl

Chris Brown faces million lawsuit after alleged backstage brawl

A meeting with four men from Texas allegedly ended in violence. They claim they were attacked by members of the Chris Brown’s entourage following an altercation backstage at Brown’s concert on Saturday night in Fort Worth, Texas.

The four men (Larry Parker, Joseph Lewis, Charles Bush and Da Marcus Powell) are suing Brown, Yella Beezy, Sinko Ceejand Live Nation Entertainment seeking $50 million in damages and injunctions against the performers. The plaintiffs argue that they suffered serious injuries that required hospitalization, and one plaintiff is still hospitalized (though it is unclear which one).

Although it is unclear what happened (various reports say the two men were backstage at the concert and a verbal altercation ensued between them), the defendants claim that Brown ordered the attack on them and that they were kicked, punched and chased by members of Brown’s entourage.

Tony Buzbee, the Houston-based attorney representing the four men, posted the following statement on his Instagram account on Monday (along with a photo of Brown in court from a previous trial):

On Saturday night, entertainer Chris Brown and his entourage attacked and brutally beat several men in Fort Worth who had just attended his concert. Several police reports have been filed. At least one of the men beaten is still in the hospital. Chris Brown has a long history of violence. He has been arrested or charged with assault at least ten times. Enough is enough! The Buzbee Law Firm filed suit this morning on behalf of the four men who were brutally beaten last weekend, hoping to get justice for these victims and put an end to Brown’s intolerable and brutal behavior once and for all.

As of Monday afternoon, Brown had not commented publicly on the situation.

Brown played his second night in Fort Worth as part of his 11:11 tour.
