Michigan players named to USA TODAY Sports Network’s 2024 Preseason All-Big Ten team

On the way to winning the program’s first national championship since 1997, Michigan football boasted one of the most talented rosters in its long, illustrious history.

The Wolverines had 13 players selected in the 2024 NFL Draft, more than any other college. That mark set a record for the Michigan program, surpassing the previous high of 11.

The depth and quality of the players exceeded their professional prospects. Nine Wolverines players were selected to the Big Ten first team by the league’s coaches or the media, including six on offense.

With coach Jim Harbaugh now playing in the NFL with the Los Angeles Chargers, Michigan should still have enough firepower under new head coach Sherrone Moore. So much so that despite all the losses, the Wolverines finished fourth in the USA TODAY Sports Network’s preseason poll in the newly formed 18-team Big Ten.

With fall training camp just around the corner, the question is, which Michigan players will be among the best in the conference in the 2024 season?

Here are the 2024 preseason All-Big Ten teams, as determined by the USA TODAY Sports Network, and where the Wolverines players fit on them:

Which Michigan players are on the preseason All-Big Ten team?

The Wolverines had four players on offense, defense and special teams named to the All-Big Ten first team, the second-highest number of any team in the conference, behind only Ohio State, which has seven players named to the team.

Michigan’s representatives on the preseason All-Big Ten team were:

  • TE Colston Loveland
  • OL Josh Priebe
  • DL Mason Graham
  • DB Will Johnson

Three other Wolverines – running back Donovan Edwards, defensive lineman Kenneth Grant and linebacker Jaishawn Barhman – received All-Big Ten votes.

The teams were determined based on ballots from 14 writers who cover the Big Ten for the USA TODAY Sports Network.
