Joey Essex’s famous family enter the Love Island villa as Ayo issues parental warning

Joey Essex’s famous family entered the Love Island villa, while Ayo Odukoya received a warning in the long-awaited ‘Meet His Parents’ episode.

Joey was criticised by Love Island fans who accused him of cheating on Jessy Potts as he allegedly still has feelings for his ex-girlfriend Grace Jackson. Joey and Jessy have managed to stay together despite difficulties including Casa Amor, but viewers were left frustrated as the former The Only Way Is Essex star always seemed to focus on Grace and her true feelings for him.

As his family entered the villa, Joey was overcome with emotion and hugged his sister Frankie and nanny Linda as they assured him he was OK. “Honestly Joe, you’re doing so well, mommy would be so proud of you. Honestly, dad said he loves you so much and misses you,” Frankie told her brother as Joey revealed his true feelings for Jessy. But will he mention Grace?

Jessy’s family, including dad Matthew and mum Julie, also turned up at the villa to meet their new boyfriend, and fans are left frantically wondering if her parents realised there was something wrong with Joey and Jessy’s relationship. Meanwhile, the other islanders were treated to a visit from their loved ones, and Ayo was delighted to see his brother Bolaji and sister Simi.

Ayo ran into his brother’s arms in emotional scenes in the villa, but his joy was soon dashed when Bolaji asked him about his relationship with Jess. “My only little concern with Jess is the constant reassurance…” he told Ayo, leaving fans worried about the couple’s future.

Sean and Matilda were the first to be reunited with their family and friends, and he received a telling-off from his mother and sister for his escapades in Casa Amor. “What was that about?! And you have a beautiful girl, why would you risk that?!” fumed his mother Charlotte.

Sean joked that she was scared when Matilda’s sisters Kenzie and Cadah intervened in the family feud and scolded him for hurting their sister. “But we wanted to put you in a headlock! After Casa, you can screw up once and that’s it!” they shouted. “I’m scared!” Sean replied, to which the sisters shouted, “You should be!”
