After the All-Star break, the Philadelphia Phillies are not only the best team in Major League Baseball, but according to some bookmakers, they are also the favorites to win the World Series.
According to BetOnline.ag, the Phillies are the clear favorites to win the World Series for the first time this season.
The Phillies have replaced the Los Angeles Dodgers as the team to beat.
The Phillies are the favorites to win the World Series with odds of 17:5. The Dodgers are second at 7:2, followed by the Yankees (7:2), Baltimore (7:1), Atlanta (10:1), Cleveland (14:1) and Houston (14:1).

Not everyone agrees that the Phillies are the team to beat. ESPN.com gives the Dodgers +300 odds to win the World Series, meaning a $100 bet will win you $300 for a total payout of $400. The Phillies are in second place at +450.
