Viewers of “22 Kids and Counting 2024” criticize “scripted” show when the series returns

“22 Kids and Counting 2024” returned to screens on Sunday (July 21) – but apparently all viewers had the same complaint.

Since 2012, the Radfords, Britain’s largest family with 24 members, have been sharing the ups and downs of their busy lives in their reality show.

And this weekend, the famous family was back for the new fifth season of “22 Kids and Counting.”

Sue and Noel are parents of Chris, 34, Sophie, 30, Chloe, 28, Jack, 26, Daniel, 24, Luke, 23, Millie, 22, Katie, 21, James, 20, Ellie, 18 and Aimee, 17.

They also have Josh, 16, Max, 15, Tillie, 13, Oscar, 12, Casper, 11, Hallie, 8, Phoebe, 7, Archie, 6, and Bonnie, 5. Their youngest daughter, Heidie Radford, is three. They welcomed her into the world at the start of lockdown in 2020.

Their brand new episode of ’22 Kids and Counting’ aired on Channel 5 on Sunday (July 21) and saw Noel and Sue prepare to move into their dream home, while son Casper also landed a prestigious trial run in the Premier League.

But just a few minutes after the episode aired, fans voiced their complaints, with many calling the episode “scripted.”

Fans of “22 Kids and Counting” complain

On X, formerly Twitter, someone said: “Jesus Christ! Not even five minutes have passed and already it’s contrived and scripted (explicit).”

More scripted, fake nonsense

Someone else responded: “Isn’t that just how it is! It gets worse,” and a third declared: “More staged, fake nonsense.”

Another viewer echoed her sentiment, writing, “This actually used to be an interesting show. Now it’s just a soap opera about a bunch of greedy (explicit) people desperately trying to stay in the spotlight.”

A fifth wrote: “The latest episode of the contrived and staged fake life of Britain’s biggest family. What (explicit) can we expect tonight?”

Sue and Noel about “22 Kids and Counting”

Elsewhere in the episode, Sue and Noel revealed that they hadn’t actually planned to have 22 children. Sue said: “We never really wanted a big family, did we?” Noel responded: “No, we always wanted three.”

The Radfords have now revealed what careers they hope to pursue in the future. Sue and Noel encourage their 22 children to dream big.

One of the young people wants to become a “stupid farmer,” another shared his plans to become a “unicorn,” and someone else aspires to a career as a “figure skater.”
