Oprah Winfrey surprises THIS author with her latest book club selection

Oprah Winfrey just surprised a book author when she informed him that his book had been selected for the celebrity talk show host’s book club.

In the video, where Oprah, dressed in a cool bright yellow dress, prepares to tell him the news, she can be heard saying, “We’re getting ready to call the next book club author, which is always so much fun.”

“To tell them their book was chosen,” she added, while in the next cut, Oprah speaks to the author via Facetime and tells him that his book has been selected for reading by the book club “all summer.”

David Wroblewski was announced as the author and the selected book is titled: Trusted which was released in June 2024.

“Can I say something?” David asked Oprah when he received the news via video call.

“I feel like I never had the chance to properly thank you for choosing Edgar,” he said, referring to his book. The story of Edgar Sawtellewhich was previously selected as one of the books for Oprah’s book club.

David continued: “But I just want to say this as directly as possible: Thank you, it changed my life and it made this possible (Trusted) Reservation possible.”
