Guns N’ Roses legend Slash has announced that his beloved stepdaughter Lucy-Bleu Knight tragically passed away on Friday at the age of 25.

The 58-year-old cult guitarist has cancelled four dates of his solo tour SERPENT in mourning for his devastating loss.

Slash shared the heartbreaking news that his “talented” stepdaughter has died in a statement on Instagram on Monday morning.

He wrote: “Lucy-Bleu Knight (December 6, 1998), beloved daughter of Meegan Hodges and Mark Knight, stepdaughter of Samantha Somers Knight and Slash, sister of Scarlet Knight, stepsister of London and Cash Hudson, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2024 in Los Angeles, California.”

“Lucy-Bleu was an incredibly talented artist, a passionate dreamer and a charming, lovable, sweet soul.”

“The family asks for privacy during this time and that speculation on social media be kept to a minimum as they grieve and process this devastating loss.”

The cause of Lucy’s death is unknown.

Slash first dated Lucy’s mother, Meegan Hodges, in 1989 before the relationship rekindled years later in 2015. Meegan had her late daughter Lucy with Mark Knight.

Meegan also shared the same statement on her Instagram and wrote: “I love you”

Lucy had 35,000 followers on Instagram and reportedly worked at Electric Lady Management, the recording studio’s talent division.

Three hours after Slash posted the announcement, a selfie of Lucy was shared on her Instagram with a caption.

It read: “Whether I made you feel left out, manipulated/controlled you, told you to quit your job because your parents were supporting you financially, or drowned real issues in toxic positivity, I am sorry.

“Countless missed opportunities and connections due to a disgustingly big ego, an insecure heart, and the fear of being vulnerable. May my soul learn to evolve from my pathetic job of being Lucy-Bleu. Peace.”

MailOnline has contacted Slash representatives for comment.
