Thousands of Swifties flocked to Wembley, where the stadium glittered with sequins – Taylor Swift hosted the second night of her Eras Tour.

Last night, the 34-year-old American megastar sent the capital into ecstasy as she thrilled 90,000 fans with renditions of hits Different, Death By A Thousand Cuts and The Black Dog.

But the most stunning moment of the evening came when the star snapped one of the most iconic pop culture selfies of all time – posing alongside Prince William, Prince George and Princess Charlotte as the adoring royals shared a moment with the singer.

At the start of the concert, the Prince of Wales surprised the crowd when he was spotted showing off his best dad dance moves as the trio partied the whole concert along with thousands of other Londoners.

Ms Swift was visibly overwhelmed by the huge crowds in the capital last night, saying: “Oh my God, London, look at what you’ve done. What better way to spend a Friday night than in the most exciting city in the world?”

Her first show in London was special for her from the start as she has a close connection to the capital, having called it her second home during the six years she was in a relationship with British actor Joe Alwyn.

Wembley prepares for the Swifties’ arrival in the capital

Wembley Stadium is preparing to welcome thousands of Swifties as the notoriously fanatical fans descend on the capital.

They have renamed signs to “Taylor’s Version”, including “Swiftie Steps”, as friendship bracelets are already being exchanged in West London.

Although she said goodbye to London in her latest album, Taylor Swift will rekindle her love affair with the city later this month.

The 34-year-old pop sensation will perform at Wembley Stadium for three consecutive nights starting June 21 as part of her Eras Tour, which has grossed over $1 billion worldwide.

The star will then return in August to play five more sold-out shows attended by over 450,000 Swifties.

However, the star, who had previously confessed her love to “London Boy” Joe Alwyn, has a long and complicated past with the British capital.

Taylor first mentions London in her 2012 song “Come Back… Be Here,” in which she mourns the loss of a mysterious man and sings, “You’re in London and I’m breaking down ’cause it’s not fair that you’re not here.”

Swift performed in front of almost 90,000 enthusiastic fans at the sold-out Wembley Stadium last night – but one family was able to share a very special moment with the American megastar.

A sweet selfie from Taylor shows the moment the Queen of Pop meets her royal colleagues, as Prince William, Prince George and Princess Charlotte posed with her backstage.

Travis Kelce, the “Love Story” singer’s NFL boyfriend, also smiled for the photo, wearing his US team Olympic cap.

Although the selfie was full of stars, fans of the royal family were only attracted to Charlotte.

With her pink glittery dress, braided hair and big grin, people couldn’t help but compare the young princess to Queen Elizabeth II.

Taylor Swift’s eight sold-out shows at Wembley Stadium are expected to provide a £300 million boost to the London economy.

The singer is currently in the UK as part of the European leg of her billion-dollar “Eras” tour.

The 34-year-old singer will make three appearances at the 90,000-capacity venue over the weekend before returning for five more nights from August 15-20.

With a total of 640,000 tickets sold, the Greater London Authority expects fans to spend an average of £471 per person.

Taylor has also taken over a huge parking lot at the stadium to set up a merchandise stand, which has been open since Wednesday, two days before the shows begin.

Now it may be clear where Prince Louis got his moves from, as Williams’ “Dad Dancing” at last night’s Taylor Swift concert resembled his son’s cheeky moves at an anniversary event in 2022.

The Prince of Wales wowed Swifties last night as he busted out some moves during Taylor’s performance of Shake It Off at Wembley.

Prince William was accompanied by his children George and Charlotte at the sold-out concert, but his youngest son Louis stayed at home with Princess Catherine.

However, this does not prevent us from noticing remarkable similarities between the dance steps of the father-son duo.

Prince Louis was filmed waving his waist in the air with both hands during the Jubilee Pageant to mark the 70th anniversary of the accession to the throne of the late Queen Elizabeth II.

On Friday, the 34-year-old singer kicked off the London leg of her record-breaking Eras Tour, performing in front of fans, celebrities and politicians, as well as her boyfriend, American football player Travis Kelce.

Model Cara, 31, danced the night away with her socialite sister Poppy, 38, on Friday, then posed for a selfie with Bridgerton actress Nicola, 37, and Queer Eye’s Jonathan Van Ness, 37.

Members of the royal family even travelled to Wembley to see Taylor in action. The Prince of Wales was among the 90,000 spectators in London who showed off his moves to Shake It Off as he celebrated his 42nd birthday with 10-year-old George, 9-year-old Charlotte and 6-year-old Louis.

Mike, 45, and Zara Tindall, 43, also proved to be Swifties when they also attended the spectacular show.

Taylor Swift already knows London: she lived in the city with her ex-boyfriend and “London Boy” Joe Alwyn and was also with other British heartthrob such as Harry Styles and Tom Hiddleston.

She knows London so well that she even has a favorite kebab shop and a favorite pub and makes numerous references to the city in her music.

Here MailOnline gives an insight into Taylor Swift’s life in London:

Taylor Swift fans have revealed a secret shortcut to avoid the crowds at the star’s sold-out Eras Tour at Wembley Stadium tonight.

Around 90,000 people are expected to flock to Wembley when the “Bad Blood” singer starts a gigantic, four-day music marathon in the arena to the delight of her London fans.

And as the star prepares for her performance in the capital tonight, fans have revealed secret shortcuts to save time and avoid the crowds when travelling via Wembley Park tube station, which will be clogged with concertgoers tonight.

TikTok user @GMurphy101 shared: “Walk along the side of Wembley Arena, turn right into Empire Way and walk to the tube station. It’ll take five to ten minutes – or stand in that queue for hours!”

A Taylor Swift fan was furious after being charged a whopping £700 for a VIP ticket that offered a “limited view”.

The frustrated fan took to TikTok to post that she could barely see the singer during her first live performance of the legendary Eras Tour at Wembley Stadium on Friday night.

“Wembley Section 123 offers a 100% restricted view of the Diamond Stage,” before claiming: “(Ticket was sold as VIP seating with no restrictions).”

She continued: “AXS sold this disability ticket for £700.”

The user added that it was still a “brilliant night” thanks to Taylor, but was not happy with her purchase as she felt it was way too expensive for the view.

The Prince and Princess of Wales’ official X-account posted the adorable photo with the caption: “Thank you Taylor Swift for a great night!”

During the concert, where the pop star performed in front of fans, celebrities and politicians as well as her boyfriend, American football player Travis Kelce, the 42-year-old Prince of Wales was filmed showing off his best “Dad Dancing” moves while Taylor sang her hit “Shake it Off.”

The sweet selfie that the Queen of Pop shared was not her first encounter with William.

In November 2013, the couple made headlines when they took the stage at a charity event to sing a song together – with Jon Bon Jovi.

Prince William took his children to his old friend Taylor Swift’s sold-out London concert last night to celebrate his 42nd birthday – together with fellow royals Zara and Mike Tindall as well as Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer and his wife Victoria.

Taylor kicked off the London leg of her record-breaking Eras Tour at Wembley Stadium, performing in front of fans, celebrities and politicians – as well as her boyfriend, American football player Travis Kelce.

The Prince of Wales was one of 90,000 people in London who got the hottest ticket in town: he celebrated his 42nd birthday and danced the night away with his three young children, ten-year-old Prince George, nine-year-old Princess Charlotte and six-year-old Prince Louis.
