Love Island USA Kaylor’s mother distanced herself from Aaron’s mother after Casa Amor drama
While watching their children compete on Love Island USA, some of the islanders’ mothers connected online to build a support system and cheer on their children – but some of their friendships have taken a turn
While friendships and relationships were forming on Love Island USA, some of the islanders’ mothers were making their own friendships.
Kara Kaylor-Stewart, mum to Kaylor from this season of Love Island, has spoken about how she teams up with other mums to get through the show. She spoke exclusively to The Mirror about how these friendships are formed.
The mother of three was browsing her Instagram account when she spotted a photo of her daughter Kaylor and Aaron. The caption called Kaylor “my future daughter-in-law,” so Kara contacted the account and it turned out it was Aaron’s mother Jenny.

“So we kept asking ourselves if we were going to name her Kay-ron, and we kept our fingers crossed,” Kara said. Then Casa Amor happened.
During this time, Aaron began to befriend Daniela at Casa, while Kaylor cried because she missed Aaron and didn’t really get close to any of the other men. Kara couldn’t bring herself to contact Jenny anymore.
“I didn’t have anything nice to say, so I didn’t think it was appropriate to say anything at all,” she admitted. Around that time, Serena’s mother contacted her online.
The two helped each other deal with the hate, as Serena and Kaylor had both gone through it after Casa with Kordell and Aaron, respectively. “I started talking to her, and she was dealing with a lot of hate and just horrible things and trying to navigate her social media account. So she could relate to my pain,” Kara said.
“It’s a great support to have Serena’s mom. (Serena) was attacked and so was Kaylor,” she continued.
Kara used Facebook as an outlet to criticize Aaron online because she was hurting on behalf of her daughter and seeing Kaylor heartbroken. After both Kara and Jenny made a video call with Kaylor and Aaron on the show, Jenny reached out to her.
“His mother reached out to me first and said your family is so nice,” Kara said. “She was so forgiving and her response was that she had absolutely no negative feelings and she understands how I feel. And she understood everything I said.”
She added that she apologized to Jenny for what she wrote on Facebook. “Because I thought, what if I had read these things about my daughter, and from a mother who is just awful,” she said.
Kara continued, “I apologized and said, ‘You know, Jenny, I’m so sorry for letting my anger and emotions out.'” She added, “I didn’t know people could just look through my Facebook stuff. I thought the stuff I posted was going to my family and friends and not the whole world. I wouldn’t have posted it.”
