RFK Jr. says he is the best candidate to defeat Trump, calls Harris a ‘warmonger’ – Boston News, Weather, Sports

HYANNIS, MASS. (WHDH) – Robert F. Kennedy Jr. spoke from Hyannis Port on Sunday, saying he is the best candidate to defeat former President Donald Trump after President Joe Biden dropped out of the 2024 presidential race.

Kennedy began by praising Biden for announcing that he would not run for re-election in 2024. Kennedy then used the opportunity to criticize both Biden and Trump, pointing out the differences between his campaign and hers on a number of policies.

“Kamala Harris is a party of war. She is a warmonger. The Democratic Party has always been the party of peace. Kamala Harris is a warmonger in Ukraine, she is a warmonger in China. I think we should find ways to coexist as best as we can with the rest of the world,” Kennedy said.

“Of course we have to protect our national security. I don’t think she’s going to do anything about the federal deficit,” he continued. “I’ve never heard her talk about the chronic disease epidemic. I think it’s a product of corporate control of our democracy… She has one of the worst civil liberties records of any public official.”

Kennedy criticized not only Harris, but also the entire Democratic Party. He called for a public convention and accused the party of being on the verge of making Harris its candidate without any process.

He stressed that he will remain in the presidential race as an independent candidate and said he looks forward to the opportunity to perhaps qualify for another debate at some point in the future.
