Prince William thanks Taylor Swift for ‘great evening’ after taking a selfie with the singer and his children
Prince William has thanked Taylor Swift for a “great night” after posing for a selfie with the singer and his children at her sold-out show in London.
The royal’s official Instagram account published the snapshot, which features his and his wife Catherine’s, Princess of Wales’ children, Prince George (10) and Princess Charlotte (9), on Saturday afternoon (22.06.24) – hours after the heir to the throne was filmed performing “Dad Dancing” at Wembley Stadium on Friday evening to mark his 42nd birthday.
His and Catherine’s Instagram post captioned the photo of him and his children beaming next to Taylor with the words: “Thank you Taylor Swift for an amazing night!”
Taylor, 34, also posted a snapshot she took after her show with William, George and Charlotte – which also includes her 34-year-old boyfriend, NFL player Travis Kelce.
She captioned the photo: “Happy birthday M8! The London shows are off to a great start.”
Taylor started the British leg of her “Eras Tour” on Friday at Wembley Stadium in front of around 90,000 fans.
Footage of the performance posted on social media includes a clip of William dancing in the crowd amid thousands of cheering Swiftie fans.
It showed Taylor in the distance on stage singing “Shake it Off” before the camera panned around to show William shaking his arms and torso.
A post of the footage on X included the comment: “Prince William being a girl from 1989 makes me want to GET OUT.”
William turned 42 on Friday and his wife Catherine, 42, celebrated the occasion by posting a snap of him jumping over sand dunes with their three children.
The Queen released the never-before-seen picture of her husband playing on the beach with their children George and Charlotte and six-year-old Prince Louis on Friday morning, as she continues to largely stay out of the public eye as she undergoes preventative cancer treatment.
She captioned the image, posted on the Prince and Princess of Wales’ Instagram account, “Happy birthday daddy, we all love you so much! C x.”
