Inter Miami wants to sell star for club record fee, Brighton closes deal with midfielder

Inter Miami are reportedly looking to sell one of their star players for a club-record fee this summer, with Premier League club Brighton close to a deal.

There has already been speculation that the MLS team will be looking to sign players like Raphael Varane and Sergio Ramos as they look to make some eye-catching signings.

However, players have also been linked with departures from the Herons, who are currently top of the Supporters’ Shield standings. MLS All-Star Week.

And an Inter Miami player is about to be sold to an English Premier League team.

According to Tom Bogert, Brighton is close to reaching an agreement with Miami to sign midfielder Diego Gomez.

Gomez, already considered an “incredible” player in US circles, will leave Inter Miami for a club-record fee of $17 million (£13 million), although the Paraguayan international is likely to stay with the Herons until the end of the year.

Another top talent discovered by Brighton

Brighton definitely have an eye for unknown talent, as they have already shown with players like Alexis Mac Allister and Moises Caicedo, and Gomez could be their latest bargain.

And it would be a huge advantage for Inter Miami to keep the 21-year-old until the end of the season, as he is one of Tata Martino’s most important players.

Gomez has proven his quality this season and could end his time as an MLS Cup winner before leaving Florida for good in 2025.
