Great news for fans of live-action Fallout – Season 2 is apparently “ahead of schedule”

Those of you eagerly awaiting Fallout season 2 will probably be happy to hear that it is apparently “ahead of schedule.”

Earlier this week, this year’s Emmy nominations were announced, with Fallout picking up an impressive 16 of them, so it wouldn’t be too surprising if this reminded you just how good the show is and left you wanting more. Unfortunately, like all good things, you’ll have to wait for the release of season 2 – that’s at least been confirmed, but it was widely believed that it will be a while before it’s released. Interestingly, Amazon’s TV boss Vernon Sanders and Amazon MGM Studios boss Jennifer Salke spoke about the series in a recent interview with Variety, where they shared that season 2 is coming along very well.

“I think we’re ahead of schedule as far as coming back for Season 2,” Sanders said during the interview. “We don’t have an exact launch date yet, but we have scripts in hand and I think fans of Season 1 are going to really love where we’re going for Season 2.” That was in response to a question about whether or not the show will be an anthology with new characters for Season 2, but Salke explained, “We’re staying true to our journey with our beloved characters. It’s going to be a great Season 2.”

“I’ve heard there’s been talk about this being an anthology. And there are actually a lot of doors we can go through, which is the beauty of the IP. But we’re fully in and we’re all on this journey with the characters we met and loved in Season 1.”

Variety also asked if there was any news on the live-action adaptation of God of War, to which Salke simply said, “Stay tuned! We love God of War,” so no news. The Horizon live-action series, which was announced around the same time as the God of War show but for Netflix, has apparently been canceled, though this may only be temporary due to allegations against showrunner Steve Blackman.
