6 Is there a release date for “Shelby Oaks”?

Shelby Oaks is currently for the World premiere at the 28th Fantasia International Film Festival in Montreal, Canada, on Saturday, July 20, 2024After its premiere, the film will also premiere in select cities across the country, including Austin, Cleveland, Los Angeles and New York.

Regarding the release of the film in the US and worldwide, it was recently announced that Shelby Oaks was officially acquired by Neon as a worldwide distributor. This announcement was further discussed by Stuckmann himself on his YouTube channel, where he revealed that The film will be released in cinemas sometime in 2025. The official synopsis for Shelby Oaks The film’s website states:

“Shelby Oaks was shot as a traditional feature film but contains some found footage elements. It is a horror film about missing paranormal investigators (the Paranormal Paranoiacs), the dark legacy they uncovered, and the far-reaching implications of their investigation as Mia searches for her sister Riley, the lead paranormal investigator, 12 years later. As Mia uncovers new and disturbing clues related to Riley’s disappearance, she uncovers evidence of a hidden supernatural evil that stretches back to her and Riley’s childhood.”

For a better context to the plot, Shelby Oaks is based on a 2021 viral web series project. It centers on “Jess,” a woman on Twitter who asks if anyone remembers a mid-2000s YouTube series about a paranormal investigation team known as the Paranormal Paranoids, all of whose members have disappeared. Jess tries to figure out what happened to the team and connects their disappearance to a place called Shelby Oaks. The project ultimately consists of both found footage videos, “lost” episodes of the Paranormal Paranoids series, and social media posts detailing her extensive search efforts. 3 Is there a trailer for “Shelby Oaks”?

An official trailer for Shelby Oaks has not yet been released. However, when Stuckmann announced a Kickstarter campaign for the film in March 2022, he posted a video on his YouTube channel breaking down the plot and featuring footage from the Paranormal Paranoids web series. It also touches on his early inspirations to become a filmmaker, his love for the craft, and his career path so far.

2 Who plays the main role in “Shelby Oaks”?

The main actors of Shelby Oaks has talents like Camille Sullivanwho plays the main role of Mia. She has recently appeared in television shows such as Big Sky And Shoresyin which she played the characters Joanie Sullivan and Laura Mohr. She also starred in the horror film, Hunter Hunteras Anne Mersault. Brendan Sexton III plays Mia’s husband Robert. 1 Who makes “Shelby Oaks”?

As mentioned, when the film was announced in July 2021, it was announced that Chris Stuckmann would direct Shelby Oaksand he wrote the screenplay together with his wife Samantha Elizabeth. The film was also co-produced by Stuckmann, together with Aaron B. Koontz, Cameron BurnsAnd Ashleigh SneadKoontz is the CEO of Paper Street Pictures, the film’s production company.

Shelby Oaks Production on The 4000 was originally scheduled to begin in late 2021, but was significantly delayed due to insufficient funding and a potential strike between IATSE and AMPTP. Fortunately, a monumental Kickstarter campaign in March 2022 raised the film over $1,000,000, making it the most funded horror project in the platform’s history. The cast was later announced at the Cannes Film Festival in May 2022, and cinematographer Andrew Scott Baird joined the production team.

Filming took place from May 9 to June 5, 2022, throughout the state of Ohio. Until August 2023 Shelby Oaks was nearing the end of post-production before it was suspended due to the SAG-AFTRA strike. Earlier this year, in January 2024, Stuckmann stated that post-production was complete and the search for a film festival to screen the film had begun. In May 2024 Mike Flanagan (Haunting of Hill House And midnight fair), Trevor MacyAnd Melinda Nishioka were also announced as executive producers of the film through their production company Intrepid Pictures.
