What’s the matter

Brazilian rock singer Ayres Sasaki was tragically electrocuted during a live concert in Salinópolis, Pará, Brazil on July 13.

The fatal incident occurred when 35-year-old Sasaki hugged a wet fan on stage at the Solar Hotel.

This action caused a jolt to a nearby cable, resulting in his instant death.

The Salinópolis Police and the Pará Civil Police have launched an investigation into the circumstances of this unfortunate incident.

Investigations into Sasaki’s death on stage are ongoing

In order to shed light on the circumstances of the accident, witnesses are questioned and expert reports are obtained.

The Solar Hotel, where the concert took place, promised to fully cooperate with the investigation.

“We are determined to support his family and take the necessary measures. We reiterate our commitment to fully cooperate with the relevant authorities in properly investigating the incidents,” a representative of the Solar Hotel said in a July 14 press release.

Family is looking for answers and thanks for the support

Sasaki’s family is actively searching for answers to the tragic event.

His aunt, Rita Matos, who was present at the concert, explained that they are contacting the people who were with him at the time to understand how everything happened.

Sasaki’s wife Mariana thanked everyone for their loving messages.

“I want to thank you for every message of affection and comfort, for every prayer during this difficult time we are going through,” she wrote in an Instagram note.

Brazil’s music scene applauds Sasaki

The Brazilian music scene pays tribute to Sasaki, who was also an architect and urban planner.

His fellow singer Adriano Freitas remembered him as a super charismatic person with incredible talent and called him the best singer and guitarist in Belem.

The band RockON praised him as an “extraordinary person with kindness and character,” while filmmaker Raphael Macedo described Sasaki as a wonderful person who is loved by everyone.

Sasaki’s last Instagram post was in December 2023.
