Love Beyond Dreams presented, reviews of Film Threat

Romance is a difficult part of the human experience. It can be both painful and passionate. Jeremiah Kipps Love beyond all dreams explores the concept of romanticism through its mixture of musical and poetic elements.

Simin (Simin Vaswani) is an overwhelmed housewife who takes care of her son Karan (Karan Vaswani). Her stressful day is brightened when her husband Harish (Harish Vaswani) takes her to an art museum for an evening. Leaving her son with a babysitter (Stephanie Garcia) Simin gets to spend time with her husband at one of her favorite places. While at the museum, she sees a couple dancing in a Renoir painting. Simin dreams and imagines that she is Charmaine (her imaginary persona) who is in love with a gentleman like Fred Astaire, Antoine (Stefan Badea).

In this imaginary world, she is able to live out a romantic fantasy in which she is transported to an elegant ballroom. Through this dreamlike experience, she remembers her true love for Harish. Back in the real world, she is able to appreciate her husband and son from a new perspective.

“By leaving her son with a babysitter, Simin can spend time with her husband in one of her favorite places.”

Love beyond all dreams is able to capture the passion and sincerity of an old Hollywood romance. If you like Damien Chazelles LaLaLandthis film is a perfect complement to it. The dream sequence features gentle choreography by Diana McDonald and elegant costume design by Rezina Shariffi. These elements transport the audience into this dream world. The dancers are given beautiful dresses in different colors that are reminiscent of the kind of details you would see in a classic Hollywood musical from the 1930s-50s.

While the film works well on both a story and production design level, there are a few flaws, such as a few too many cuts to close-ups that detract from Diana McDonald’s fantastic choreography. Fred Astaire’s rule of thumb was to never do quick cuts during a musical number. Also, a few original songs would have been nice. Hopefully this film will be expanded into a full musical, as this would strengthen the story and create a deeper connection to understanding Simin’s point of view. Despite these minor flaws, Love beyond all dreams is a charming piece that offers a little escape from the prevailing cynicism in the 21st century.st Century.
