Brazilian musician Ayres Sasaki tragically passed away this week after suffering an electric shock during a live concert at the Solar Hotel in Salinopolis, Brazil.

According to The Sun, the singer suffered a fatal electrocution while hugging a fan on stage who happened to be soaking wet. The incident occurred after the wet fan came on stage and hugged him. Seconds later, the musician was electrocuted and died almost instantly on stage.

It is still unclear why the fan was soaking wet, but police in Salinopolis are investigating the incident. Several witness statements were taken and experts were brought in to better understand the circumstances.

Sasaki, who was also an architect and urban planner, married his great love Mariana just 11 months ago. He was only 35.

The late singer’s family has chosen not to comment further at this time as the investigation is ongoing. His aunt, Rita Matos, told local media: “We know that his performance was scheduled for a specific time and was brought forward, but we are contacting people who were with him at the time to understand how everything happened. We will gather all the information in a statement that we will release to the press.”



The hotel released a statement on Instagram expressing its condolences and support for the singer’s family. “We are fully committed to providing support to his family and taking the necessary measures. We reiterate our commitment to fully cooperate with the relevant authorities in the proper investigation of the events,” the statement said.
