Love And Thunder: Chris Hemsworth’s last Marvel film?

Chris Hemsworth denies the claim that Thor: Love and Thunder will be his last appearance as a Norse god.

Hemsworth responded to a question from the Polish publication Elle Manvia Cinemablend.

He said, “Are you crazy?! I’m not retiring. Thor is way too young for that. He’s only 1,500 years old! This is definitely not the movie where I say goodbye to this brand. At least I hope so.”

However, it is understandable why Hemsworth’s future has been called into question.

Avengers: Endgame marked the departure of Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man and Chris Evans as Captain America, meaning Hemsworth is now the last original lead actor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

But there is also a good reason why Hemsworth was so insistent on remaining Thor.

Writer-director Taika Waititi gave the franchise a boost of energy when he made the critically acclaimed box office hit Thor: Ragnaroka task he would like to repeat Love and Thunder.

In the upcoming sequel, Hemsworth will be accompanied again by Natalie Portman, who returns as Jane Foster. She will be much more powerful than in Thor And Thor: The Dark Worldas the figure becomes the goddess of thunder, the mighty Thor.

The top-class cast also includes Christian Bale, Tessa Thompson and Waititi himself.

Production is scheduled to begin in Australia in early 2021. Thor: Love and Thunder has a scheduled release date of February 11, 2022.
