More about Jimin’s Smeraldo Garden Marching Band (feat. LOCO)

On June 28 at around 1:00 p.m. KST (9:30 a.m. IST), Jimin released Smeraldo Garden Marching Band along with a distinctively designed music video. The track serves as a pre-release for his second solo album MUSE, which was unveiled on July 19.

With the immaculately written lyrics, the singer expressed the “untold truth” and mentioned the BTS track “The Truth Untold” from LOVE YOURSELF: TEAR. The name of the song is heavily based on the word Smeraldo, the name of the fictional flower invented by BTS.

At the same time, the song’s title was inspired by the legendary rock band The Beatles’ 1967 album Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band. It was later revealed that while planning his album MUSE with producers Pdogg, EVAN and GHSTLOOP, who Jimin had previously worked with in FACE, the four began to refer to themselves as a cohesive group. What initially seemed like a playful name soon became the title of the pre-released track for Jimin’s MUSE.

In addition to this song, the album also includes the title tracks “Who,” “Rebirth (Intro), “Interlude: Showtime,” “Slow Dance (feat. Sofia Carson), “Be Mine,” and “Closer Than This,” all of which were released along with the album on July 19.
