The Dunkirk Fredonia Lions Club has awarded its scholarships for 2024. The program was open to five schools: Dunkirk, Fredonia, Brocton, Silver Creek and Forestville. Each school was eligible for one winner with a $500.00 prize.

Since 1917, Lions Clubs have been committed to the motto in their communities: “We serve.” Lions are committed to improving the world and their communities through community service. To that end, the Dunkirk Fredonia Lions Club Scholarship is designed for graduates who demonstrate potential for further education and commitment to serving others. Community service and an essay about the community service in their lives are an important part of qualifying for the award.

The club is pleased to announce the following 2024 scholarship winners: Julianna Spacciocoli of Fredonia, Sarah Cross of Silver Creek, and Antonio Patton of Forestville.

The Dunkirk Fredonia Lions Club invites students in the Class of 2025 from the Brocton, Dunkirk, Forestville, Fredonia and Silver Creek districts to apply for the scholarship. School guidance departments will have specific information in the spring of 2025.
