Chennedy Carter won’t be watching Caitlin Clark in the WNBA All-Star Game on Saturday night, but she will tune in to see another All-Star rookie.

Carter supported his Chicago Sky teammate Angel Reese and subtly attacked Clark at X, a day after Clark decided to drop out of the WNBA’s 3-point contest.

“I’m looking at Barbie and only Barbie #WNBAAllStar,” Carter posted on X, referring to Reese by her nickname.

“You should be here, but I’m playing for you today, CHENDOLL!” Reese replied.

The comments fueled the ever-present rivalry between Reese and Clark, who have been competitors since their college days at Iowa and LSU.

Reese raised the white flag before Saturday’s competition, saying she would try to “get along” with Clark when the two compete together against Team USA.

“This is what everyone wants to see,” Reese told ESPN on Friday. “I’m excited about it. Everyone can wear their ‘Get Along’ shirts together for at least one day.”

“I know a lot of people will come to watch us and see us all, but there’s a lot of talent in both teams so they’ve got a lot ahead of them.”

Carter made headlines earlier this summer for committing a “non-basketball-related” foul on Clark when she hip-checked Clark to the ground while waiting for a throw-in.

Carter was unapologetic about the foul and refused to answer any questions about the No. 1 draft pick after the game.

Clark, who made 71 three-pointers this season, the third-most in the league this year, did not participate in the WNBA’s Three-Point Contest, which was won by Allisha Gray.

“I think I’m just going to rest,” Clark said Friday when asked why she decided to skip the event. “I’ve been playing basketball for a year now, it’s not easy to just show up and shoot from a basket. That’s not something I’ve ever done before. I haven’t had a lot of time to practice that, I’ve been focused on helping my team win games.”

“I think I’m just enjoying this break. I think I’ll have plenty of opportunities to do that at some point. … I need a break and I need to take some time for myself to enjoy what I want to do.”
