Taylor Swift’s fans in Germany showered the star with kindness that exceeded her wildest dreams!

“These three crowds in Gelsenkirchen were AWESOME and so attentive???” Swift wrote in her caption next to a carousel of photos from the sold-out concerts.

“There were signs and paper hearts, the ‘Betty’ wave and lots of homemade ‘wicker’ balls made from balloons and cell phone flashlights. Thank you!!! 🫶🫶🫶,” she added of the unique items the audience brought to the shows.

“I am completely blown away by what you have accomplished – (the album) stayed at number 1 for the first 12 weeks of its release and that has never happened before with any of my albums, not even close!!,” Swift wrote. “You are simply the greatest.”

“Anyway, now that our shows in Germany have officially started, I can’t wait to see you all next time in Hamburg!” she concluded the post.

Swift had never performed in the German city before. During her concert series, a local Swiftie, Aleshanee Westhoff, started a petition to Mayor Karin Welge to rename the city “Swiftkirchen” during the star’s visit.

The request caught Welge’s attention and the city unveiled a new town entrance sign with Swift’s face on it and the words “Swiftkirchen.” It was captured in an Instagram post shared by the city’s official account.

Swift’s recent stops on her Eras tour in Germany were special for another reason: The singer’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce, also performed at two of the shows – including one that marked his 13th appearance at one of her concerts – before heading to the Kansas City Chiefs training camp.

Swift is next scheduled to perform in the German cities of Hamburg and Munich before moving on to Poland.
