Press release from the Michigan City Chamber of Commerce:

Michigan City, IN – The Michigan City Chamber of Commerce (Chamber) has named Jessica O’Brien its Ambassador of the Quarter for the second quarter of 2024. “I believe the Chamber is such an important part of the growth and progress in my city that I am happy to volunteer my time to help it grow and succeed. The Chamber team is approachable and helpful and serves as a great resource and advocate for its members,” said O’Brien. The Ambassador of the Quarter award is given to an individual who has demonstrated commitment to the Michigan City Chamber of Commerce’s mission by regularly attending Chamber events, engaging with members through email, calls and in-person meetings, and recruiting non-members for membership.

As an ambassador, O’Brien supports the Michigan City Chamber of Commerce’s role in the community by welcoming new members, encouraging current members to maximize their membership, and helping to maintain and increase retention rates of new and existing members by highlighting the benefits of the chamber. “The Chamber staff is fortunate to have Jessica as an ambassador,” stated Danny Hogan, membership director and staff liaison to the Ambassadors Committee. “Jessica is always willing to volunteer her time and efforts so that all members of the Chamber benefit.”

Outside of the Chamber, Jessica serves as the Director of Development for the Salvation Army of Michigan City, is president-elect of the Rotary Club of Michigan City, serves on the Michigan City Human Rights Commission, and in her free time enjoys writing, spending time with her family, and a good cup of coffee.

The Michigan City Chamber of Commerce is a resource for its members, businesses and the community to promote economic growth in the Michigan City area.
