The 2024 Republican National Convention featured representatives of the conservative elite, ordinary Americans, and a fair amount of celebrities, including musicians who are well-known faces in Tennessee.

From Nashville-based band Sixwire entertaining attendees of the RNC all four days in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Kid Rock getting the crowd pumped up before Donald Trump took the stage with a “Fight, Fight” version of a mashup of his old songs “American Bad Ass” and “Cowboy.”

Check out some of the different singers and bands that took the stage at the convention, or some who just showed up to stand next to Trump, like Jason Aldean.

Lee Greenwood will introduce Trump to the RNC on days 1 and 4 and will appear on day 2

Lee Greenwood is “a wonderful man,” Trump said during his keynote speech on Thursday night. Greenwood has been a close ally of Trump over the years and sang three times at the RNC this week, twice to introduce Trump. On the first day, Greenwood sang as Trump left the hall for his first appearance since the assassination on Saturday. And on the fourth day, Greenwood sang “God Bless the USA” again before Trump gave his speech accepting the Republican nomination for president.

Chris Janson performs on the first day of the RNC

Country singer Chris Janson joined Nashville-based band Sixwire to entertain the RNC crowd on Monday, performing his single “All American Guy.”

Kid Rock performs on the fourth day before Trump takes the stage

According to Trump, Kid Rock (or Bob) was excited to attend the convention, and the singer included chants like “Fight, Fight” and “Trump, Trump” in a mashup of his old hits “Cowboy” and “America Bad Ass” on Thursday, immediately before Trump gave his speech.

“He’s become a friend of mine over the last 10 years and he’s incredible, everybody loves him,” Trump said during his speech at the convention.

Who is sitting next to Trump tonight? Jason Aldean

Jason Aldean and his wife, Brittany Kerr, took their seats next to Trump in the MAGA friends and family box on the final night of the RNC on Thursday. Aldean did not appear during the RNC’s public session but hosted a private event later in the evening.

In his acceptance speech, Trump called Aldean the “biggest star in country music.” “He’s good,” Trump continued. “In fact, I like his wife even better,” the former president said, referring to Aldean’s wife, Brittany Kerr.

Brian Kelly takes the stage on day 3

Florida country singer-songwriter Brian Kelley appeared on stage Wednesday to perform “American Spirit” with a gospel choir.

Kelley is known as a former member of the successful country duo Florida Georgia Line, along with Georgia native Tyler Hubbard.

RNC band Sixwire entertains conservative delegates

Sixwire entertained attendees of the RNC for four days at Milwaukee’s Fiserv Forum, gaining a following on social media shortly after the event began. Check out their setlist this week here.

The band from Nashville consists of Andy Childs (lead vocals, guitar), Steve Hornbeak (keyboards, vocals), John Howard (bass guitar), Steve Mandile (guitar, vocals) and Chuck Tilley (drums, percussion).

According to the band’s website, they are known as the house band on USA Network’s “Nashville Star,” Fox’s “Next Great American Band,” CMT’s “Next Superstar,” and ABC’s drama series “Nashville.” They have performed at Super Bowls 51, 54, and 56, the Daytona 500, the NHL All-Star Game, and were ESPN’s first “house band” at the 2019 NFL Draft in Nashville.
