Cadbury’s eyebrow kid recreates famous advert on TikTok after 15 years

Bradley Ford was just 11 when he rose to fame with his eyebrow dance in the Cadbury advert. Now 26, he has revealed how he landed the iconic role. He also proved he’s still got it by recreating the memorable eyebrow wiggle a decade and a half later.

The unforgettable one-minute advert saw Bradley and co-star Georgia Wake dancing to ‘Don’t Stop the Rock’ and quickly made it one of the UK’s most popular commercials. The clip exploded online, garnering a whopping four million views on YouTube in its first three weeks alone, eclipsing Cadbury’s previous hit advert featuring a gorilla drumming along to Phil Collins’ ‘In the Air Tonight’.

Bradley shared that riding the ad’s success, he became a local celebrity and people often recognised him as the “eyebrow kid” long after the campaign aired. His performance as the eyebrow maestro led to minor roles in Doctor Who, Law And Order: UK and the film Gulliver’s Travels alongside Jack Black, Wales Online reports.

Today, Bradley is once again showing off his eyebrow skills on TikTok. His nostalgic recreation has already delighted over two million viewers.

This week, Bradley sent fans into a frenzy by perfectly recreating his eyebrow antics from the original Cadbury advert on TikTok, expressing his excitement to team up with Georgia for a reunion. He said: “I’m still in touch with the girl in the video.”

“We don’t message each other that much, but we use each other’s social media. I’d love to get back together and redesign the advert – maybe Cadbury should do a Christmas special!”

Bradley, a video editor and painter and decorator from Chelsea, recalls his early fame, saying: “When I was about eight years old, I went to a private drama school. They had their own agency and I was sent on numerous auditions. I knew it was for Cadbury, but I didn’t know what I was doing.”

He giggled as he recalled the simple instruction that led to his memorable performance: “They just said, ‘Wiggle your eyebrows for the camera’ – and that was it! Before the advert I didn’t know I was going to move my eyebrows, so I didn’t know I had a talent for eyebrows, and it was obviously good enough because I went to four recalls!”

Looking back on the role, Bradley said: “Before I knew it, I had landed the part. We spent a few days before filming trying to get the look right, to look like school kids – I was only 11 at the time, so it was a great opportunity for me.”

He also described the process of filming in detail: “At the beginning, they told us to wiggle our eyebrows to the beat of the music. They gave us points to look out for when we had to turn our heads, but towards the end our faces were completely twitching when they told us, ‘Let’s go!'”

Although he’s a natural at eyebrow choreography, Bradley remained tight-lipped about the post-production tricks: “I can’t say if it’s edited or not – it’s magic,” he joked.

After filming, Bradley was rewarded with more than just fame: “After filming, according to Bradley, he received a box of Cadbury treats and a plush gorilla from the previous commercial.”

He described the moment he saw the ad for the first time as “surreal.”

He said: “They sent me a care package with chocolate treats and sweets that was about two feet long – honestly every child’s dream! They also gave me a gorilla toy from the advert.”

“If I remember correctly, I knew it was going to be released during a Big Brother advert break and we sat down and waited. When I watch the show again it still gives me the chills but I’ve learned to get used to it! It was surreal though. Loads of people saw it. It was bizarre.”

“Then I started getting noticed by random people. People asked me if I was the kid from the advert – not anymore!” Bradley revealed that his friends still tease him by calling him “the Cadbury kid”. He confessed: “I don’t usually bring it up, but my friends always embarrass me! It was an advert in 2009.”

“I actually met my girlfriend Shannon through a mutual friend and he eventually told her everything. She didn’t think much of it at the time, but now she finds it bizarre!”
