Christian singer/songwriter Leanna Crawford releases debut album “Still Waters”

Nashville, Tennessee (July 19, 2024)
Artist, Singer-Songwriter from Provident Entertainment/Sony Music Leanna Crawford has released her highly anticipated debut album quiet waters; the 14-track album is available now on all streaming platforms. The inspirational work showcases Leanna’s extraordinary talent and deep faith through a collection of powerful, inspirational songs. From today until Monday, 100% of the net proceeds of all pre-orders in her webshop will go to the global non-profit organization Charity water.

Leanna has quickly become a popular figure in the contemporary Christian music scene with her heartfelt lyrics, captivating melodies, and a voice that exudes authenticity and grace. Still Waters shifts perspectives and lets you put all your faith and trust in God, even when times get tough. The record was inspired by Crawford’s journey into the music industry; she moved to Nashville and signed to her label with a preconceived idea of what her path would look like. Through much prayer, discipline, and valuable input from people in her life, Crawford was able to express what was in her heart through words and melodies. The straight path she thought she was on looked different, but she still moved forward with faith.

“I am so excited to share ‘Still Waters’ with the world,” says Leanna. “This album is a reflection of my personal journey and the peace that comes from trusting in God’s plan. I hope these songs bring comfort and encouragement to everyone who hears them.

The full album includes six new tracks, including “For Heaven’s Sake,” “Honest,” and “Rest,” as well as previously released songs, including her latest single, the title track “Still Waters (Psalm 23),” which turned out to be Leanna’s most streamed single from the start after her fans begged her to finish the song after posting clips of it on social media.

“This record is full of songs that point back to that re-imagining – songs about finding my first love in Jesus and returning to the simplicity of grace and its beauty,” explains Leanna.

Leanna has spent the last few years creating this first album, which features 14 songs including fan favorites “To make it”, “How can you not,” And “Swear to belong to you”. The track “Still Waters” was teased nearly two years ago via the singer’s TikTok and Instagram and immediately caught the interest of fans and new listeners alike. The song’s message is inspired by real-life inspiration: “Great Aunt Maurine said at 103, “Write the Bible in your heart for when you need it, because fear hates Psalm 23.” “So just tell it to yourself until you believe it.”“Leanna’s Great Aunt Maurine lived to be 103 years old, but in her 40s she learned she was going blind. She determined to memorize as much of the Bible as she could before she lost her sight. Great Aunt Maurine led Leanna’s mother to Christ, and that influence was passed on to Leanna.
