Love Island fans believe Joey is hiding his true feelings after a heated game

There is a lot of tension in the Love Island villa and fans believe that Joey Essex’s behavior proves that he still has feelings for Grace Jackson.

As soon as Grace Jackson came in Love Island Joey Essex exploded like a bombshell: he dropped everything he had with Samantha Kenny to rekindle a familiar flame that he had found in Grace outside the villa.

Their connection was instant, and producers reportedly had to cut out some of their steamier scenes due to adult content. But then Jessy Potts entered the villa and chose Joey, and when he showed interest in Jessy, Grace backed out, unwilling to be in a notorious Love Island love triangle.

We are approaching the finale and Jessy and Joey are still going strong. Despite the trials of Casa Amor and various sex bombs like Lola Deluca, they have remained faithful to each other.

Yet in every game or challenge lately, Joey has managed to bring up Grace, questioning her true feelings and hinting that she’s not over him yet, and by Thursday night’s episode, viewers had enough.

On X, formerly known as Twitter, one fan wrote, “Joey still wants Grace and it’s PAINFULLY obvious. Holy shit he’ll go out of his way to start a fight with her just to get her to talk to him.”

Another said: “Joey annoyed me on another level this episode… Why can’t you let Grace go? I’m completely obsessed with her and she doesn’t care about you.”

Other comments include: “No, Joey is so obsessed with Grace, I can empathize with Grace. That must be exhausting” and “Joey needs to leave Grace alone!!”

Game in the Love Island villa causes chaos

Islanders were then asked to name the couple they thought were “the greatest players.”

Reuben Collins, who is dating Lola, said: “We chose Joey and Jessy. Joey is the game, he knows the game. When I met Grace, I got the feeling you weren’t very happy about it either.”

Joey quickly replied, “That’s just because I don’t believe in it. I don’t want you to get hurt, brother.”

“Why do you think I don’t like Reuben?” Grace snapped, adding, “How would you even know? As if you’re constantly saying my name.”

“You can’t really give these guys the same energy that I give them. I’m just saying that from my perspective,” Joey said.

Referring to her time with Joey outside the villa, she said: “Because it’s different, because we had something before that we built on.”

Joey replied, “I feel like you’re playing with the boys. What? That’s my opinion… Honestly, I don’t care because I’m happy.”

An angry Grace replied: “Why do you think I’m playing games? You do care, because you wouldn’t say, ‘Yeah, I know she doesn’t like any of the guys.'”

Jess S and Ayo, Grace and Harry, and Mimii and Josh also voted Joey and Jessy as the “greatest players.” In the same episode, Joey revealed the “secret mission” he was on for Mimii.
