Summoners War: Sky Arena is a turn-based fantasy RPG that has captured the hearts of gamers worldwide with its sky arena adventures and monster battles. In Summoner’s Warplayers can battle other summoners for important mana crystals, build their decks from over 1,500 unlockable monsters, decorate villages, and take part in training battles. It’s also a growing RPG franchise that’s still going strong today, recently kicking off its 10th anniversary celebrations and planning to hit another decade. While several in-game events kicked things off in late May, there’s still plenty for fans to look forward to as developer Com2uS celebrates the last decade of Summoner’s War with its current live and upcoming events and beyond.

In an interview with Game Rant, Summoners War: Sky ArenaProducer Taehyong Kim and CEO Dongkyu Han looked back on the last 10 years of the franchise. Kim and Han also talked about Summoners Wars’ 10th anniversary celebrations and gave some advice for new players.

Summoner’s WarWith its 10th anniversary, the game joins the ranks of games that have turned 10 years old, which is no small feat in an industry where games are constantly coming and going. Kim looked back on the last 10 years Summoner’s War as the highlight of his life and talked about what he thinks keeps players coming back to the game:

Summoner’s War
has very powerful goals that I think make people want to keep playing. The main goals of our game are compelling for players, such as the desire to collect beautiful runes, summon and breed beautiful monsters, and win when battling with other users in content like Siege Battles and World Arena.


Kim also reflected on the gaming’s greatest moments over the past decade. While he said it was impossible to pick just one with so many memories, he did mention moments like the game’s release and the first time SWC was held. Summoner’s Warthe global e-sports tournament where summoners compete against each other in the World Arena.

Celebrate Summoner’s WarTo mark SUMMONER’s 10th anniversary, Han said there will be “major activities both in and out of the game.” This includes the SUMMONER 10×10 FESTIVAL, a list of 10 celebratory events, six of which have already been announced. While some of these have already taken place or are currently live, Han added that there are four more events fans can look forward to that will provide players with “diversified rewards throughout the year.” Kim also talked about how he is “working on updates and events for this year, as well as ideas to make the game more fascinating and exciting.”


Outside of the game, Han also mentioned several offline events in Europe, Asia, North America, South America, and Southeast Asia and that he hopes to convey the team’s gratitude to the community and create “cherished memories offline.” In addition to the celebrations, there is more for Summoner’s War Fans can rejoice, as there are more projects “in the works” to expand the game’s universe and story, including webtoons, comics, and animations.

Han also talked about the new features that will make onboarding new Summoner’s War players into the game, which he admits could feel quite difficult for some players, given that you have to catch up on 10 years of content. As Han explained:


It can be difficult for new users to get used to the 10-year difference, but in addition to the SUMMONER 10×10 FESTIVAL, we have expanded the events for new users, created special shops, and improved rewards. With these many events and benefits, we hope new users can settle in and enjoy soon
