Ingrid Andress’ music experiences a breakthrough after the debacle during the national anthem in a drunken state

The botched national anthem singer Ingrid Andress fails on her way to the top.

After her terrible performance of the “Star-Spangled Banner” at the Home Run Derby last Monday, during which Andress later admitted that she was drunk and was going to go to rehab,SoundCloud told TMZ that playback of their music had increased by about 50 percent.

The old saying, “There is no such thing as bad publicity,” certainly applies to this example: Andress made headlines for all the wrong reasons after she defaced the national anthem and then made her shocking admission.

“I’m not kidding you, I was drunk last night,” Andress posted on Tuesday. “I’m checking myself into a clinic today to get the help I need. That’s not how I was last night. I apologize to MLB, all the fans and this country I love so much for that performance. I’ll let you all know how rehab is. I hear it’s a lot of fun.”

Immediately after her poor performance, Andress had 335,000 followers on Instagram, but her popularity has grown considerably since then: just a few days later, she already has 349,000 followers on the platform.

On Soundcloud, Andress’ 2019 song “More Hearts Than Mine” has particularly caught the attention of her listeners, with her listener count more than doubling in just three days.

Andress, 32, was very successful before this faux pas and was nominated for four Grammy Awards, including Best New Artist in 2021, which Megan Thee Stallion would win.

Andress is a country singer who grew up in Highlands Ranch, Colorado, and her 2020 debut album, Lady Like, was in the running for country album of the year.

After returning from rehab, Andress will certainly have the opportunity to use this to her advantage by going on tour and launching her career as a star.

She has now cancelled all upcoming concerts.
