SOURCE SPORTS: NFL legend Lawrence Taylor arrested for violating sex offender restrictions

Multiple reports have confirmed that former New York Giants legend Lawrence Taylor was arrested again this week in Florida after being accused of violating the terms of his status as a registered sex offender. Again.

The legendary linebacker reportedly turned himself into the Broward County Jail on Wednesday on an outstanding warrant for failure to report a change of name or residence. Taylor remained behind bars for several hours before finally being released Thursday morning.

This is the second time Taylor has been arrested on these types of charges. He was jailed in December 2021 for failing to comply with his release conditions.

Mark Eiglarsh, Taylor’s lawyer, said: “My client, Lawrence Taylor, will plead not guilty to the latest charges,” Eiglarsh added: “As with the previous incident involving the same allegations, Mr. Taylor did not knowingly commit a crime. This situation is a significant misunderstanding. We are confident that once prosecutors have reviewed the exculpatory evidence of Mr. Taylor’s innocence, they will again obtain a favorable outcome.”

The Pro Hall Of Famer was inducted into the list in 2011 when he was accused of being intimate with a 15-year-old girl. Taylor eventually made a deal with prosecutors to end the matter by pleading no contest, thereby agreeing to a lesser charge in the form of a residency restriction for people convicted of certain sex offenses.
