Christine “Chris” Louise Gray, 70

Christine Gray (Chris), 70, of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 16, 2024. She was born on April 18, 1954, to James and Reva Brown in Amarillo, Texas.

Chris was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. She leaves behind her mother Reva Roberts, her brother Brian Brown, her son and daughter-in-law Steve and Rachel Gray, and her two grandchildren Juliet and Richard Gray. We are grateful that she has been reunited in heaven with her devoted husband Rich.

She was active in her church and community. Before moving to Idaho, Chris spent time in Colorado, where she volunteered with the Colorado Springs Police Department and Powers Insulation. Chris also served in the U.S. Army, where she met her husband.

Chris loved to laugh and spend time with her family and friends. She enjoyed playing cards and dominoes, although she hated losing to her son. Her family and friends will never forget her great sense of humor and kind heart. She touched the lives of many and her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

A celebration of Chris’ life will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2024 at 11 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Coeur d’Alene, 521 E. Lakeside Ave., Coeur d’Alene, ID 83814. Her family would like to meet you and hear your memories of Chris. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the First Presbyterian Church or Hospice of North Idaho (2290 W. Prairie Ave. Coeur d’Alene, ID 83815) in honor of Chris’ generous and caring spirit.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Julie Gray, Chris’ friends and church, and Hospice of North Idaho for the love and care they gave her.

Chris will be sorely missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
