Tribute to Taylor Swift at “Changing Of The Guard” before the Wembley gig

Even the British royals were enchanted by Taylor Swift on Friday at the traditional changing of the guard, where soldiers performed a brass band version of Swift’s hit. Shake off in front of Buckingham Palace.

The royal family posted the video on X and captioned it “Changing of the Guard (Taylor’s Version).”

The tribute came hours before Swift performed in London on the first night of her Eras tour. The artist took the stage at the capital’s Wembley Stadium in front of a crowd of 89,000, including Swift’s boyfriend, NFL player Travis Kelce. Bridgerton Star Nicola Coughlan, actress Salma Hayek, model Cara Delevingne, the country’s opposition leader Kier Starmer, London Mayor Sadiq Khan and reportedly Prince William in a private box.

Swift took the opportunity to make her first live appearance on the tour of The Black Dogis said to refer to her time in London with her former partner, actor Joe Alwyn. It was part of the star’s usual offering of some surprising mash-up versions of her songs.
