We love to spoil and coddle a cat, but when does that go too far? It’s not uncommon to see cats that have literally been “loved to death” by their owners. Although they never intend it, spoiling their cat over a long period of time can lead to a potentially life-threatening situation. Then it’s a long, slow road back to a healthy life.
Sally, the tabby cat, could have been “loved to death”
Long-time cat mom and creative genius Kayla knows everything about keeping a Household with quirky cats healthy. But what she didn’t know until recently was that her grandfather was spoiling his cat Sally to dangerous extremes (see video below). When he approached her, she became aware of it and, along with Sally’s vet, stepped in to help them.
“I’m going to show you my grandfather’s cat, and before you say anything, you can just laugh because she’s on a diet now,” said a worried Kayla. “This is Sally and she is the best example of an elderly person loving a cat almost to death.”
