The California Golden Bears, Stanford Cardinal and SMU Mustangs joined the ACC on July 1, increasing the league from 14 to 17 teams after the final round of conference realignment.
However, the new teams will not be the only change in the conference this season.
On Wednesday, ESPN announced that Taylor Tannebaum replace Kelsey Riggs as presenter of ACC meetingthe flagship show of the ACC Network. The show airs on Saturday mornings during the college football season and offers previews the biggest encounters of the conference this week.
Tannebaum has been with ACC Network since 2022 and hosts the daily afternoon show ACC PM and fieldside coverage of prime-time ACC football games.
“It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity to host the ACC Huddle alongside some of the best analysts in all of college football,” Tannebaum said. “The ACC will be as competitive as ever this season and I’m thrilled to help introduce fans to the greatness of the conference this fall,” Tannebaum said.
The press release also states that Riggs, who served as anchor for only one year, will take on “an expanded new role on other ESPN studio programs.”
Tannebaum will also anchor the network’s coverage of the ACC Football Kickoff in Charlotte next week, which ESPN says will provide nearly 48 hours of coverage of the conference’s media event over the four days of the event.
