The National Park Service and Living History Group Northwest are hosting the eighth annual World War II encampment from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Fort Vancouver National Historic Site, 1001 E. Fifth St. Guests can stroll through the encampment and talk with history volunteers portraying members of U.S. Army units from World War II, including medics, cavalrymen, infantrymen and the Women’s Army Corps. The costumed volunteers bring their own uniforms, weapons, tents and equipment, including period-specific military jeeps and trucks. Southern sounds

Nashville in the Northwest begins at 7 p.m. Sunday in the gazebo tent at Camas Meadows Golf Club, 4105 NW Camas Meadows Drive, Camas. This songwriters’ festival and concert series showcases the best country and Americana artists from Nashville, Tennessee and the Pacific Northwest. Go all out

The Northwood Public House and Brewery’s pork roast is Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Whole pigs are roasted with Italian sausage and seasoned pork loins. Kids can enjoy balloon art, face painting and a painting contest. Hear live music with Dan Dingman, “King” Louis Pain and Renato Carante, later joined by Edwin Coleman and Sean Holmes (collectively, “The Four Kings”) at the brewery, 1401 SE Rasmussen Blvd., Battle Ground. Tastes and melodies

English Estate Winery, 17806 SE First St., Vancouver, is offering Good Times and Wine every Friday through Aug. 30 from 6 to 8 p.m. Guests can bring picnic dinners and purchase wine, cider and soft drinks from the winery. Michael Riopelle will perform Friday. Guests can also purchase charcuterie platters for $20; order online at englishestatewinery.com. The winery will also host Songwriters in the Round from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, featuring singers and songwriters performing original songs. Guests are encouraged to bring picnic dinners.
