Mother-daughter duo attacks Sam’s Club employees because they couldn’t order pizza two minutes before closing time, video shows

Police have arrested a woman and are preparing to charge her daughter with attacking a Sam’s Club employee in Georgia because they couldn’t order pizza.

A cell phone video shows a fight between several women in a warehouse store on Jonesboro Road in the Atlanta suburb of Henry County.

The employee who was attacked spoke out about the incident, saying that she and her co-workers were preparing to close on the evening of July 10 when a family of three walked in two minutes before the store closed, WSB-TV reported.

The mother and her two daughters went to the club café and asked to order two whole pizzas.

When the employee told them it was too late to place their order and to call the manager, the family began to curse at her. Then the mother went behind the counter into the kitchen and punched her in the face.

“The mother gets angry and walks back to the kitchen from the cash register. And when she gets into the kitchen, she hits me,” said Cierra Monroe, a Sam’s Club employee. “After she hits me, she hits me in the face and then her two daughters come from the front. I wasn’t expecting that at all.”

The video shows a woman in a black shirt and one in a white shirt hitting each other. Another woman joined the fight to escalate the attack on the woman in the black shirt while other customers tried to intervene and break up the fight.

The mother who attacked the customer, Andreana McKnight, was arrested by Henry County police and charged with assault. Her pregnant daughter, 20-year-old Victoria Wilson, who had accompanied her to the store, was taken to the hospital after the fight, but there is currently a warrant out for her arrest.

Monroe suffered bruises and still suffers from headaches from the fight. The blow to her face also left a scar. She said it would be helpful to have security at the store 24/7, especially after another customer tried to assault another employee just days before her attack.

“We had an altercation with another customer earlier and he was escorted out,” Monroe said. “But he was escorted out by the staff. I just feel that we have to ensure safety from opening to closing every day, seven days a week.”

A Sam’s Club spokesperson declined to say whether the company plans to hire full-time security personnel, but said employee safety is important and the company is cooperating with the police investigation into the incident.
