Chappell Roan admits he was stalked after his fame: “People behave like freaks”

The singer says she also longs to be able to do things like “be at Forever 21 and not be judged.”

For Chappell Roan, fame as a pop star is not something “occasional.”

Roan spoke to Drew Afulo in the comments section on Wednesday, July 17, about her journey to pop stardom and shared what she misses most about her life before fame.

“Doing drugs in public,” joked 26-year-old Roan.

“That’s what I miss. Just like showing up, being a fucking freak at the bar or making out with someone at the bar.”

She continued: “Of course I miss the romping around, because now I don’t dare to romp around anymore.”

But most importantly for the “Pink Pony Club” singer is the opportunity to go out in public and do things like “wear a Forever 21 and not be judged.”

“Most of the time I’m dressed up. But I miss just walking around alone. I think being alone is what I miss,” she continued.

Aside from being recognized, Roan now feels like her safety is at risk in public.

“People started acting like weirdos,” she revealed. “They follow me and know where my parents and my sister live, where my sister works, all that weird shit.”

She continued, “A few years ago I said if there were stalker vibes, like the family was in danger, then I would stop. That’s where we are at.”
