Marvel takes action to prevent the spread of spoilers for Deadpool and Wolverine

When the worldwide release of Deadpool and Wolverine As the release date quickly approaches, Disney is taking measures to prevent the spread of spoilers.

Deadpool and Wolverine is the only MCU film set to hit theaters in 2024, adding pressure to its upcoming July 26 release.

For the first time, Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool and Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine will enter the MCU, and with the TVA’s involvement, anything is possible.

The sad reality is that there are sure to be surprises that, while incredible in the moment, could be completely ruined by spoilers before the film’s release.

Disney hopes to prevent spoilers for Deadpool and Wolverine

According to Steven Weintraub of Collider, Disney planned the first full press screenings of Deadpool and Wolverine is scheduled to take place on Monday, July 22nd, shortly before the official release date, to prevent spoilers from leaking online.

Additionally, the social media reaction embargo ends this evening at 7:00 p.m. PT (10:00 p.m. ET) and the review embargo ends on Tuesday, July 23 at 3:00 p.m. PT (6:00 p.m. ET).

This creates a narrow window of time between those initial reactions and the time when fans can start watching. Deadpool and Wolverine in cinemas on Thursday, July 25th.

To avoid spoilers, Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures have already adopted this strategy in Spider-Man: No Way Homeand aligns its response and review embargo times with the end of the world premiere.

Also before the press screenings of Doctor Strange: In the Multiverse of MadnessMarvel Studios has disabled replies and comments on their official social media accounts.

It is possible that the studio will use the same strategy when the time comes for Deadpool and Wolverine.

Who will have a cameo in Deadpool and Wolverine?

It is no secret: Deadpool and Wolverine will be bursting at the seams with cameos from Fox’s X-Men universe and beyond.

Many characters from previous Dead Pool Movies and the wider Marvel Universe have already been confirmed, making this one of the biggest crossover events in the MCU since Avengers: Endgame.

Confirmed cameo appearances include Tyler Mane as Sabretooth, Jennifer Garner as Elektra, Aaron Stanford as Pyro, Kelly Hu as Deathstrike, Jason Flemyng as Azazel, Ray Park as Toad, Dania Ramirez as Callisto, Kevin Nash as The Russian and Alioth from Loki.

Speculated appearances include cult characters such as Professor X, Storm and Cyclops from the X-Men universe. Even pop star Taylor Swift is rumored to appear as Dazzler.

Rumor has it that actors like Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Halle Berry, James Marsden, Famke Janssen, Ben Affleck, Ian McKellen, Owen Wilson and others could be in the cast.

However, Disney will do its best to make sure that the week of Deadpool and Wolverine‘s blockbuster release.


Deadpool and Wolverine will be in theaters on Friday, July 26th.
