Gracie Abrams surprised her fans when she released a music video for “I Love You, I’m Sorry” on Wednesday, July 17. The song is featured on the Grammy-nominated singer’s sophomore album, “The Secret of Us,” which hit stores on June 21.

In the aforementioned music video, Abrams casually accepts the Ass of the Year award and sings, “I love you, I’m sorry / You were the best, but you were the worst / As sick as it sounds, I loved you first.”

“ILYI’S VIDEO IS OUT NOW, yay! I love every single person who made this video possible and I am not sorry,” Abrams wrote on Instagram on Wednesday.

The images in the music video convey late summer vibes in every way, as Abrams enjoys a day at the beach, followed by drinks and a brunch date with her friends.

Sitting in the car with her pals, the singer sticks her head out the window and lets the gentle breeze blow through her hair as the song’s soft melodies drown out the montage on the screen. “I was weak, it is what it is / A habit I must break, the age-old curse,” she sings at one point in the song.

The video was written and directed by Gracie’s longtime collaborator and good friend Audrey Hobert, who also directed the music video for the album’s first single, “Risk.”

Gracie Abrams is also preparing for a world tour in support of her latest album

Abrams, who opened for the North American leg of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour last summer, will embark on her own world tour in the fall to promote her album The Secret of Us. “I wish I could properly express how excited I am for these shows,” the singer wrote on Instagram in June, saying she was looking forward to screaming, dancing and even crying with her fans to celebrate her musical body of work.

After the first dates of her “The Secret of Us” tour, Abrams will join Swift again on the second North American leg of her “Eras” tour.
