Whatever their coach says during Tuesday’s semifinal results (8/7c on NBC) or next week’s finals, they — and the audience whose votes he’ll be vying for — will know he doesn’t see them as the cream of the crop.

How would you feel if you were Nathan and Bryan? Of course, Legend didn’t mean to belittle the candidates he recruited. But it had to hurt, right?
