Patrick Mahomes will make the Kansas City Chiefs’ training camp a little more fun this year by bringing a television with him – all thanks to the release of the game “College Football 25” from EA Sports.

The highly anticipated game is the first release in nine years since NCAA Football 14 hit shelves in July 2013. EA had shifted its focus to the Madden and FIFA series, which are released every year. Fans and players have been talking a lot on social media since the official release on Monday, sharing clips and expressing their approval of the game’s comeback.

However, the timing is not ideal for Mahomes, who just returned from the offseason and is heading straight to training camp, as the Chiefs are among the first teams to start this Sunday.

Despite his busy schedule, the star quarterback is determined to enjoy the new release with his teammates and has therefore decided to bring a television into the facility.

Explaining his unusual move, Mahomes said, “This is my first year bringing a TV. I’ve never brought a TV before, but NCAA (EA College Football 25) came out. I brought a TV for NCAA and the Olympics… that’s why I’m doing this.”

Due to recent NCAA rule changes allowing players to profit from their name, image and likeness (NIL), hundreds of players are expected to make financial gains through the new game.
