Czech singer and television star Victoria Vera Blyth, 40, was murdered by her husband, British businessman David Thomas Blyth, 53, before he took his own life in their home during an argument over her text messages.

The incident occurred on June 11 at their home in Ankara, Turkey. The couple’s three children, aged 14, 10 and 4, were reportedly in the house at the time of the tragedy. The sun.

A friend of Victoria told the Daily Mail that she had recently complained in text messages about her husband’s infidelity and controlling behavior. She had allegedly planned to leave him and return to the Czech Republic to continue her singing career.

Victoria married oil entrepreneur David Thomas Blyth in the Czech Republic in 2014. They initially lived in Prague but moved to Turkey in 2019 when David started his business activities in the Middle East.

Victoria Vera Blyth, also known as Victoria Velvet, was a well-known artist in the Czech Republic. She studied music and released her first album in 2004. She became famous for her cover of the Eagles song “Hotel California” and her role as co-host of the “Morning Show” on radio station Europe 2. Known for her active participation in charity activities, she was popular among friends and colleagues.

Her family expressed their deep sadness and shock at the tragedy. Her body will be returned to her native Scotland, while her children are currently in the care of her maternal relatives.
