Primanti Bros. and East End Brewing Co. team up to relaunch Almost Famous Pickle Beer

Fans of pickles and Primanti Bros. will love the new edition of Almost Famous Pickle Beer.

Cucumber Gose Ale, created in collaboration with East End Brewing Co., will be sold exclusively by both companies starting July 18.

The summer drink has sold out quickly every year it was created. In previous years, it sold out in less than 48 hours, according to the restaurant.

“We are proud of this year’s Almost famous pickle beer”, said Scott Smith, founder of East End Brewing Co. “We’ve had a lot of fun working with Primanti Bros. and we truly believe this is the best version of the beer yet.”

The new drink contains hops and barley as usual, as well as a new addition of 725 kilograms of fresh cucumbers that have been peeled, chopped and pureed to brew the freshest beer ever.

“This beer is a favorite every year – but there isn’t an unlimited supply,” says Jim Prezioso, beverage director at Primanti Bros. “When it’s gone, it’s gone!”

Almost Famous Pickle Beer will be available in commemorative 16oz cans and also sold as a 4-pack to-go. It will be available at select Primanti Bros. locations in the Pittsburgh area (full list at www.primantibros.com) and at East End Brewing Company’s brewpub at 147 Julius St, Pittsburgh, Pa., 15206.
