  • Season 8 of
    LAMH
continues to deliver a collection of insignificant men, with Marques taking the lead as the most toxic.

Love & Marriage: Huntsville is notorious for toxic relationships. Flagship star Martell Holt has won several social media contests as the biggest F-Boy on reality TV. After cheating on his wife and three children during the pandemic – and impregnating his mistress around the same time, his wife was pregnant. Instead of admitting his cheating habits, Martell pointed the finger of accusation at his then-wife melody. Martel said his continued cheating was because Melody wasn’t satisfying his needs in the bedroom. The reality star called his lover a peasant and implied she was beneath him, but continued to meet her after he was caught. After his apology that Melody wasn’t satisfying him sexually fell on deaf ears, Martell said cheating was something “all men do.” He later reportedly threatened his ex with revenge pornwhich is why she had him arrested.

This season, Martell’s reign as Huntsville’s local jackass has been threatened several times. Mosesan attractive newcomer with a turbulent past, was introduced to the audience two seasons ago as Payton’s fate Life partner. After her mysterious divorce, Destiny dated a man she allegedly had a long and loving relationship with in her past. Believing the relationship would last, Destiny introduced him to the cast and producers who were working on her storyline for the show. After a total of 15 years in prisonit was not difficult to understand why Moses was reluctant to appear on a reality show. The two eventually split up, but Moses did not leave the show, but instead swapped the leading ladies. He began dating Destiny’s producer, Sunnis causes all kinds of Carlos Koenigdrama breaking out on the show. Instead of Moses stepping into Martel’s old slot, Season 8 of LAMH continues to deliver more petty behavior.

Subscribe toa new cast member, was introduced as a friend of Stormi Steele. LaTricia’s story was inconsequential, from her introduction as a woman living with her muscle-bound boyfriend, Kenwhile she was still married to her ex-husband, Brands. She claims she has been separated from her ex-husband Marques for years, but the two simply have not made divorce a priority. Viewers withheld their judgment on LaTricia’s unconventional approach to marriage and divorce until Marques was featured in the latest episode of LAMH, titled Nell-Raiser. In his first episode, Latricia’s estranged husband, Marques was able to establish himself as the successor to Martel’s title as Huntsville’s resident F-Boywhich is no mean feat considering Martel had a head start for 8 seasons.

In a recent episode, viewers see Ken give LaTricia a casual ultimatum, telling her that they cannot move forward in their relationship until she gets a divorce. LaTricia, who seems very relaxed about the whole marriage and cohabitation situation, reluctantly agrees to find and confront her estranged husband. Their first conversation was shocking, but it explains why LaTricia felt so comfortable living with a new man while still married. The two sat down and opened up about the failure of their marriage. After losing both her parents and siblings, Marques was not there for her. Instead of refuting her claims, Marques admitted that he was not there for her during the time of need in their marriageInstead of defending himself, Marques hung his head and agreed.

His only line of defense was that he was unhappy that Ken was living with LaTricia and their children. After admitting that he wasn’t there for her, Marques agreed that the marriage was over and the two needed to finalize the divorce. Before the two left, Marques agreed to sign the papers, but asked LaTricia if she had half of the $400 to pay for the divorce. LaTricia was angry that even though Marques had admitted the divorce was mostly his fault and he had been missing for years, he still wanted her to fork out half the money. Instead of calling him stingy, she responded scathingly and said she would get her new boyfriend, Ken, to give her the money.

Later, Marques sat down with Marsau and cemented his position as the most toxic man on the show. While Marsau tried to talk some sense into him as a responsible father, Marques stuck to his petty train of thought, complaining about his children living in a house with another man. He said LaTricia was trying to pit his children against him and that it was disrespectful for Ken to be in the house with them. Marsau was accused of being insensitive and disrespectful in his own marriagebut his conversation with Marques rehabilitated him in the eyes of most viewers. Rather than allowing the absent husband and father to make excuses for his behavior, Marsau held him accountable.

Marques accused LaTricia of turning his children against him, but Marsau repeated that accusation, letting Marques know that his own actions were responsible for his children turning against him. Marques then tried to point the finger at Ken. He said he did not want another man in his children’s house to act as a surrogate father. Marsau continued his tough stance, criticizing Marques’ immature attitude and suggesting that he should not be angry or resentful toward Ken, but instead show him gratitude and appreciation. “If your daughter comes home from school crying, what would you want the man in the house to do?” Marsau asked Marques. “Wouldn’t you want your daughter to be in the house with a man who hugs her and tries to comfort her, rather than someone who ignores her?”

Marsau earns cool points for holding Marques accountable

Marsau gave Marques a 15-minute warm-up session on his life as an adult and father. “You left your home and your children.” This is what happens when you leave the houseand you’re not there to raise your children,” Marsau explained. Marques tried a few more flimsy excuses about the relationship before admitting that he needed to be more involved and involved in his children’s lives. After meeting with Marsau, Marques agreed to meet with Ken and agreed to grant his estranged wife the divorce she is seeking so she can move on with her life.

The scene with LaTricia and Marsau was enough for Marques to pass over Martell as Huntsville’s most insignificant and toxic husband. Although Martel has proven himself to be a cheat and a liar, no one has ever accused him of neglecting his children. In fact, Martell’s salvation among most of his friends is his undying commitment to his children. The introduction of Moses this season also paints a grim picture. The timeline between his breakup with Destiny and his connection with Sunni has more holes in it than a cheese grater, but there are no children involved.

Moses and Destiny were neither married nor engaged, so the fact that he traded Destiny for her producer Sunni and then married Sunni, is an opportunistic move that reeks of self-preservationbut that doesn’t make him a particularly toxic person. Marque’s inability to take responsibility for his failures as a husband and father gives him the points he needs to score higher on the toxicity-o-meter than Martel. Disappearing from your children’s lives and then resurfacing years later, angry because another man stepped in and took on the responsibility you gave up, is a nasty thing to do.

Carlos King has created a collection of insignificant men in “Love & Marriage: Huntsville”

Carlos King has an undeniable talent for finding drama and capitalizing on it. Judging by the turmoil and toxicity of Season 8, Marques may not keep the F-Boy crown for much longer. There are rumors that Martell had a previous relationship with LaTricia and has remained silent about it after she appeared as a new cast member. There are also rumors that Chris Fletcher has married his former lover and is trying to pass her off to his children as if nothing had happened.

Last year, Marques’ brother Maurice threw a tantrum because his wife was losing her libido due to breast cancer. And of course, with Moses and Sunni moving to Huntsville and trying to start a family, he has plenty of time to prove he’s not the man he says he is. At this point, it could be a race for any man, but at least until half the deposit is paid and settled, Marques seems to have things under control.
