Kelsea Ballerini shares some snapshots from her first day on the set of NBC’s “The Voice” on Wednesday.

In early June, NBC announced that the 30-year-old country star would make her debut as a judge alongside Adam Levine on the 27th season of “The Voice,” marking her first return in six years.

When the show returns in spring 2025, they will be joined by returning judges Michael Bublé and John Legend.

Shortly after NBC’s announcement, the Daily Mail exclusively reported that the 45-year-old Maroon 5 singer had been warned that he could be kicked out if he displayed the same “cocky” and “arrogant” behavior as at the end of the show’s original 16 seasons.

Ballerini did not respond to this report, but shared some behind-the-scenes snapshots from her first day at work on Instagram.

In the caption, the singer said, “Plot twist… it works,” along with a white heart emoji.

The first picture she shared was a selfie showing her in a grey sweatshirt and pink leggings.

The second featured her parking sign reading “Parking for The Voice Talent” while she wore black sunglasses and a gray tank top.

The caption comes from the third image – a sidewalk graffiti of a duck or goose with the message “Plot twist… it works.”

The fourth slide was a video of the singer attempting to sing a version of Judy Garland’s “Get Happy” from the 1950 film Bombshell…but she couldn’t remember the lyrics.

The fifth slide was another selfie from her new judge’s seat on the set of The Voice and the sixth was a mirror selfie while she used a teeth whitening device.

The seventh showed her in a private plane putting on makeup and sticking out her tongue.

The eighth slide showed a bouquet of flowers sent to her by her fellow judge Michael Bublé, along with an anecdote from The Office in which he urges her to “form an alliance.”

As for Levine, news of his return has caused tension behind the scenes, with staff fearing he will return with the same entitlement as before.

“Not everyone is happy about Adam returning to the show,” a source exclusively told DailyMail.com.

“There have been a lot of changes behind the scenes, but a lot of people from Adams’ time are still there and they don’t like his return because he seemed conceited, arrogant and haughty towards the end of his last term.

“People will get a second chance and maybe Adam will change. But if he remains the aggressive Adam he used to be, they will get rid of him again.”

The source explained that producers were also interested in bringing Levine back into the fold in hopes of potentially reuniting him with Shelton in the future.

“The Voice would love to have Blake Shelton back one day,” the insider revealed. “The dynamic between Adam and Blake was TV gold and the show would love to have that back in the future.”

They continued, “Adam’s return shows Blake that if he ever wanted to return, they would make it his liking and reunite him with Adam.”

Producers hope Levine’s return will provide a welcome boost of nostalgia following recent changes to the coaching staff.
