Taylor Swift sings the never-before-heard song “Fearless” in Germany

Taylor Swift sings the never-before-heard song “Fearless” in Germany

When Taylor Swift picked up her guitar in Gelsenkirchen on Wednesday, there were problems on the back.

“Before we get into acoustic stuff, I just wanted to say that this is such a thoughtful crowd,” she said in her sunny orange dress. “You guys have done everything possible to make us feel so loved. Let me think of all the things.”

She listed fans holding up small paper hearts during her song “Lover,” holding up signs that read “I belong with you” during “You Belong With Me,” and creating their own orbs for “Willow” by blowing up balloons and shining their phone flashlights behind the balloons.

“You guys are so thoughtful,” she said, strumming her guitar.

Swift sang a mashup of “Superstar” from “Fearless (Taylor’s Version)” and “Invisible String” from “Folklore.” She hasn’t performed “Superstar” on the Eras Tour yet and has 16 never-before-heard songs from her 11 studio albums.

After the guitar came the song selection for the piano.

As the singer sat down at her piano (which was broken during her last performance in Milan, Italy), she sang the phrase “Flamingo Pink” and her fans screamed. Swift combined “Slut!” from “1989 (Taylor’s Version)” with “False God” from “Lover.”

Although fans who streamed the concert live hoped that the initial glitch would lead to an announcement, it never came.

Swift will perform a total of seven shows in Germany over the next two weeks, including in Gelsenkirchen, Hamburg and Munich. She will conclude the European leg of the Eras Tour in August with a five-day performance in London.
