“Avengers” 5 and 6 could get directors from “Infinity War” and “Endgame”

No more “Endgame”? Filmmaker siblings Joe and Anthony Russo, known as directors of some of the biggest Marvel blockbusters, could return to the company’s film universe.

The Russos are currently in early talks for a major MCU comeback behind the camera to direct Avengers: Infinity War – The incredible journey through the wild And 6as reported by several specialist media, including The Hollywood Reporter and Deadline Hollywood.

Russo representatives declined to comment Weekly entertainmentand Marvel representatives did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The brothers caused a sensation in 2014 with the direction of Chris Evans. Captain America: The Winter Soldierfollowed by the more ambitious Captain America: Civil War two years later. Given their continued success, Disney handed them the reins to Avengers: Infinity War (2018) and Avengers: Endgame (2019), the latter becoming the highest-grossing film of all time.

It makes sense that Marvel would consider its proven hitmakers as successors. avenger again, given all the rumors in the press about the recent failures and declining box office figures of films like Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania And The wonders. Disney is gearing up for a big panel presentation in Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con on July 27, so we’ll see if plans for a big, eye-catching announcement materialize.
