This hard-hitting action thriller conquers the Prime Video charts

A brutal action thriller starring Jason Statham is climbing the Prime Video charts and is currently at number 2. It’s not a film that gets everything right. But the film in question is a welcome distraction that is sure to entertain. I’m talking about the John Wick-like story of just retribution The beekeeperR.

If you are not familiar with the structure of this action thriller, the short version of the plot is as follows:

One man’s brutal quest for revenge gains national attention after he is revealed to be a former agent of a powerful and secret organization called the Beekeepers.

I watched the film a while back and enjoyed it for the most part. The visuals are a bit redundant in places and the ending is beyond cheesy. Not to mention that the plot borders on utter ridiculousness throughout most of the film. But sometimes a film like this hits the nail on the head. If you can look past some of the film’s flaws, there’s a lot to appreciate. The fight choreography is top notch, the action unfolds at a breakneck pace and Jason Statham is really in his element here. All in all, The Beekeeper is high-quality popcorn entertainment; it is an action-packed thriller that implements a tried and tested formula quite effectively and delivers action throughout.
