Singer dies of electrocution after hugging a fan; terrible accident on stage!

Brazil lost a beloved musician in an incredibly horrific accident over the weekend.

rocker Ayres Sasaki was performing in Salinopolis on Saturday when one of his fans had the lucky opportunity to hug the singer. But as he hugged his fan, he died on stage in front of the entire crowd. The fan who hugged him was soaking wet and got Ayres wet too. And as the singer was retreating, he was electrocuted by a high voltage cable running across the stage. He was only 35 years old. So, so tragic.

It is unclear how the fan got wet – perhaps it was sweat when he splashed water on himself to cool off in the Brazilian heat? However, the police are not sure and are investigating the rocker’s death. His aunt Rita Matos spoke to local news agencies and explained the situation:

“We know his show was scheduled for a specific time and was brought forward, but we are contacting people who were with him at the time to understand how it all happened. We will summarize all the information in a statement that we will release to the press.”

Meanwhile, the venue where the concert took place was The Solar Hotel — released a statement on the incident:

“We are determined to support his family and take the necessary measures. We reiterate our commitment to fully cooperate with the relevant authorities in properly investigating these incidents.”

Ayres leaves behind his wife MarianaSadly, they were newlyweds, having married just 11 months ago.

Since the accident, his friends have repeatedly emphasized what a good person and hard worker the singer was. Adriano Freitas He told local media that Ayres would be remembered as the “king of encores” – and revealed that he once even played a show for 12 hours straight:

“(He was) a super charismatic guy, his talent was incredible. He was the best singer and guitarist in Belem. A great friend, very family-oriented, attentive to his friendships and to those who appreciated his work.”

Another friend of his, comedian Natto Almeidatold the press:

“What will definitely stand out about Sasaki is his good heart, his great politeness. I think that will be the lasting impression he leaves.”

So sad! And way too young.
